Less than two weeks after the team suffered a major blow when Sophomore Point Guard Angel Rodriguez announced he was leaving the Kansas State Men’s Basketball program, it appears Bruce Weber’s squad will be getting some help in filling the vacancy he left behind.
The Kansas City Star reports that Justin Edwards who had played previously at the University of Maine has committed to K-State. The report says Edwards who is six feet, three inches tall made his intentions known on Saturday just a couple of days after making a visit to the K-State campus.
Edwards will be required to sit out one season per NCAA rules but will have two years of eligibility remaining once he begins play during the 2014-15 season.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez announced earlier this week that his new home will be the University of Miami which is located much closer to his family in Puerto Rico.
