U.S. Senator Jerry Moran of Kansas will make two stops in Manhattan Friday. The Senator, who lives in Manhattan, will  tour Manko Window Systems and give remarks at the Flint Hills Job Corps Commencement.
 
Moran’s visit to Manko Window Systems Headquarters will be from 11:30-12:15 p.m. Manko started in May 1989 with two full-time employees and has now grown to employ more than 400 individuals across 28 states. Manko offices are not only in Manhattan, but also Aurora, Colo., Omaha, Neb., and Des Moines, Iowa.
 
From 2-3 p.m the Senator will provide remarks at the Flint Hills Job Corps Commencement.  Job Corps is described as a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 through 24 improve their lives through career technical and academic training. Flint Hills Job Corps Center opened in February 1992 and is the only Job Corps center in Kansas.
