An April 10th arraignment has been set for a Fort Riley soldier who faces charges of sexual exploitation of a child, rape, and aggravated sodomy. James Henning’s preliminary hearing was held in Geary County Court Wednesday, which included videotapes and photographs.
Henning was bound over on the 11 felonies following the preliminary. Henning was taken into custody in late November after what was described by law enforcement as a month long investigation in connection with the distribution of child pornography. The investigation was conducted by Junction City Police Department Detectives assigned to the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Tak Force, Patrol Division, and Drug operations group.
The victim has been identified as an eight-year-old female. Henning is a military police officer.
The Fort Riley soldier was arrested after execution of a search warrant in the 100 block of 12th Street in Junction City. His bond was set at five million dollars and remains at that level.
