The million dollar question for K-State fans this week is will senior quarterback Collin Klein play this Saturday at TCU? Klein exited last Saturday’s game after scoring a 1-yard touchdown with 9:47 left to go in the third quarter to put the Cats ahead 38-17 of Oklahoma State. Redshirt freshman Daniel Sams closed out the 44-30 victory under center.
K-State coach Bill Snyder long has a history of not discussing player injuries. He was asked on the Big 12 teleconference on Monday about whether he expects Klein to play this week, and he says he is hopeful.
Speculation surrounding the nature of Klein’s injury stemmed from the player’s helmet being taken away after returning to the sideline on Saturday, which is typically consistent of a player believed to have a concussion. Snyder joked that Klein took the headgear off because “it was uncomfortable.”
K-State will put their 9-0 record on the line against TCU on Saturday night at 6:00pm at Amon Carter Stadium in Fort Worth. Powercat Gameday will be live from Frankie’s Sports Bar in Fort Worth at 2:00pm. For more information, go to powercatgameday.com.
