K-State football has received its 2nd commitment from a quarterback for the 2017 recruiting class.
Sammy Wheeler, stands 6’4”, weighs 200 lbs and is a pro-style quarterback from St. James Academy in Lenexa, KS.
Wheeler made his visit to Manhattan over the weekend and made the announcement to commit on his Twitter account last night.
K-State was the only D-1 school to offer Wheeler. He had also received an offer from Missouri Southern State, and was being recruited by Wyoming.
Wheeler joins 3-star QB Dewayne Betts from Memphis, Tennessee as the only two quarterbacks to commit to K-State for the 2017 class.
Sammy is the 12th overall 2017 commitment for Coach Snyder and the Wildcats.
