Three Suspects in Murder Case Appear for Initial Hearings

Three suspects facing murder charges in the death of a Junction City woman appeared in court Thursday for their initial hearings.

Larry Anderson (25) of Manhattan, Drexel Woody (23) of Fort Riley and Marrysa Middleton (22) of Colorado, were arrested last week in connection with the 1st degree murder and aggravated kidnapping of 24-year-old Junction City woman, Amanda Clemons.

During the initial hearing, Allen Angst was appointed for Drexel Woody; Linda Barnes was appointed for Larry Anderson; and the Geary County Public Defender’s Office is working with Marrysa Middleton.

All three cases are set for a status hearing on March 27th at 9 a.m. at the Geary County Court House.

Prosecutors are waiting for police to process evidence and come up with a final autopsy report.
