U.S. Education Secretary to Visit Kansas

EMPORIA, Kan. (AP) Kansas is getting a visit from U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan.

Duncan is due in Emporia Tuesday for a town hall meeting at Emporia State University. He’s also scheduled to visit Topeka, with a stop planned at the Brown v. Board of Education National Historic site.

Duncan is on a 10-day national tour that ends Friday in Washington.

In Emporia, he plans an afternoon town hall at Emporia State University as well as a visit to the National Teachers Hall of Fame, which is located on the Emporia campus.
