A former Junction City minister accused of sexually abusing young boys in his church’s congregation has fired his attorney. Assistant Prosecutor Michelle Brown has confirmed 26-year-old Jordan Young has been appointed a public defender and a status hearing is set for Tuesday of next week. Brown believes a preliminary hearing date will be set at that time.
While at the Faith Tabernacle Apostolic church, Young served a youth minister. He has been jailed since his arrest last August, after Junction City police investigated several reports of indecent liberties and aggravated criminal sodomy cases, which allegedly occurred from 2008 to 2012.
