Water Matters Day has Local and International Reach

Konza Rotary Club’s 3rd Annual Water Matters Day capped off with a $4,000.00 donation to both the City of Enterprise, Kansas, and the AIM Mission, which focuses its efforts in Ghana.

Rotary Club President Rich Jankovich says the all-day event, which began with a symposium at the Manhattan Public Library and continued with an afternoon at the City Park Pool, is part of the club’s mission to promote clean water projects internationally. He says just recently the club partnered with Kansas Rural Water to aid small Kansas communities, with the same mission in mind.

City of Enterprise Mayor Larry Jantz says the city will use the funds to update its water works and also in relation to the its fire department. AIM Mission Branch Manager Tosha Choma says the funds will go the development of a well in Ghana.
