Jake Waters set the K-State school record for total yards in a season in 2015, and he did so while playing the final seven games with a shoulder injury that required surgery.
Waters tweeted a picture of himself recovering from the surgery today. He injured the shoulder after being tackled following a 51-yard run in a 31-30 win over Oklahoma.
Waters wasn’t available to the media for a few weeks after the Oklahoma game and insisted that he was fine once he was again made available.
He averaged 62 rushing yards per game over the first six games of the season and only 16 rushing yards per game during the final seven.
Surgery went well. Thanks for all the prayers and support. God bless. pic.twitter.com/tqxCJY335S
