A Manhattan man was arrested Friday night on several charges, including child endangerment, aggravated battery, and DUI.
According to the Riley County Police Department, 23-year-old Mason Clay Moon was taken into custody around 9:19 p.m. in the 1300 block of Flint Hills Place. Officers arrested Moon on probable cause for multiple offenses following an investigation into an incident that reportedly involved reckless behavior and serious danger to minors.
Moon faces three counts of aggravated endangering a child for allegedly placing children under the age of 18 in a reckless situation. He also faces three counts of aggravated battery for reportedly using a weapon in a manner that caused great bodily harm or disfigurement. Additional charges include fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement during the commission of a felony, failure to stop at an accident involving injury or property damage over $1,000, and driving under the influence—his third DUI offense in 10 years, involving a combination of drugs and alcohol with a child present.
