According to Riley County Police a Manhattan man has been the victim of a craigslist scam.
22 year old Tomas Kirielius of 1430 Hartman Place told RCPD that he had placed his 15 inch Mac Book pro on craiglist.
Kirielius was asking for 1-thousand dollars, and was contacted by an unknown suspect to meet for the sale at the 2215 college avenue parking lot.
Kirielius told police that when he arrived a white male with brown hair and medium build gave him a US Postal money order for 9-hundred and fifty dollars, and fifty dollars cash.
RCPD reported that the money order was in fact a fake, and part of a craiglist scam.
The case is still under investigation by RCPD, and no suspects have been arrested.
