LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) A New Zealand-based animal health company is beginning work at a new University of Kansas research lab.
Argenta announced in August that it would locate a laboratory at the Bioscience Technology Business Center in Lawrence and create up to 27 science jobs over five years.
The university says the lease is finalized and company has started hiring. Argenta expects to create four or five new jobs each year until it reaches the 27 total. New hires will earn an average annual salary of $74,000.
Argenta is a young company that does contract drug development work in the health sciences industry.
