It’s the question everyone around K-State football is asking…so, Collin Klein, how’s Will Howard? One advantage for K-State offensively, no matter who is quarterback: right tackle Christian Duffie is expected to play for the first time this season. Saturday’s game will also mark the first of the year for the Cats without linebacker Daniel Green, who was lost to injury in the Missouri contest last week and pec surgery on Monday. The senior is being counted by his head coach to help his replacement get up to speed to be part of the game plan. The Wildcats host UCF in…

In a statement, Williams thanked the Bears and their front office and ownership, and vowed to coach again. He missed last week’s loss at Tampa Bay for what the team said were personal reasons after working the opener against Green Bay. There should be an update this afternoon on quarterback Will Howard’s status for Saturday’s game against UCF when offensive coordinator Collin Klein talks to the media, but K-State head coach Chris Klieman says a plan is in place if Howard can’t go. If the true freshman, Johnson, draws the start, Klieman says the Cats will have the full playbook available to him. Howard was injured in last Saturday’s loss at Missouri as was running back Treshaun Ward, who was labeled doubtful by the head coach Tuesday. One advantage Johnson would have would be that veteran right tackle Christian Duffie is…

This comes as the Wildcats have struggled at times offensively because the O-Line hasn’t been as crisp as expected. Missouri succesfully kept Chris Klieman’s team off balance up front in last Saturday’s showdown in Columbia. The bad news…Daniel Green, a senior leader who has made 232 tackles during his long college football career,…

Harrison Mevis kicked a 61-yard field goal with no time remaining Saturday, sending Missouri to a field-storming, come-from-behind 30-27 victory over No. 15 Kansas State in a nonconference showdown of former Big 12 rivals. The Tigers had a chance to give their big-legged kicker a shorter attempt after Brady Cook had driven them into Kansas State territory in the final seconds. But after huddling on the sideline, Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz was too slow getting his field-goal unit onto the field, and the delay-of-game penalty pushed the Tigers back 5 yards. Cook proceeded to throw an incomplete pass in the…

Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones said Wednesday that he would have changed his approach to his holdout if given another chance. But the All-Pro pass rusher also said he was happy with how things worked out.
