An Olsburg man died in a car/pedestrian accident on K-16 Tuesday evening. Wesley Esping, 62, died while walking southbound out of his driveway onto K-16.
According to the Kansas Highway patrol Esping was checking on a deer that was hit by an unrelated vehicle, when a 1998 Ford F-150 pickup struck him. The truck was driven by Rabern Vawter, 88, of Randolph who was not injured.
The accident was reported at 5:44 p.m. about a half mile east of Olsburg.
