Two people were taken to a Topeka hospital following an accident at the I-70 junction with K-99 Tuesday morning.
Cheryl Tinkler, 53, and Jeffrey Tinkler, 58, both of Salina, were taken to Stormont Vail, following the Wabaunsee County accident reported shortly after seven in the morning.
The Kansas Highway patrol reports a 2006 Honda Accord driven by Temairra Taylor, 26 of Topeka was eastbound on I-70 in the left lane, with Tinkler’s 2005 Ford Taurus eastbound in the right lane. The driver of the Taurus, Cheryl Tinkler, reportedly attempted to change lanes, However striking the honda with both drivers losing control. TheTinkler vehicle struck a south guardrail and the Honda struck a north guardrail, with the vehicles re-impacting and coming to rest in the center median.
Taylor suffered a possible injury but there is no record of a medical transport. Cheryl Tinkler is reported to be in satisfactory condition and Jeffrey Tinkler in fair condition, both at Stormont.
