Malek Harris is the latest player to be dismissed from the K-State men’s basketball team. K-State announced Friday that Harris joins Marcus Foster and Tre Harris as Wildcats to be kicked off this offseason.
Harris averaged two points and two rebounds per game this season and is a former four-star recruit. He was the highest ranked recruit Bruce Weber has had at K-State.
“We have high standards for the players in our program.,” Weber said. “Unfortunately Malek could not live up to those expectations. We wish him the best as he continues his basketball career.”
Five players have now left this offseason, and six have transferred or been released since the beginning of the 2014-15 season. Only two of Bruce Weber’s nine high school recruits at K-State are still in the program.
