A pedestrian was severely injured Wednesday night four miles west of Manhattan on K-18.
James Davis, 37, of Georgia, was transported via helicopter to Stormont Vale Hospital in Topeka then taken to KU Med after he was hit by a westbound Ford Focus driven by 26-year-old Michael Graf-Dedonder of St. George, who was uninjured.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Davis ran across the roadway southbound and was struck in the left lane.
