The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office will experience a disruption of phone service Tuesday night from 11:00 p.m. until approximately 1:00 a.m.
During this time, calls to the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office will be automatically routed to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. The reason for the outage of service is for a system upgrade. The Sheriff’s Dispatch will still be staffed in Westmoreland and will continue to page and take radio calls. A Pottawatomie County Dispatcher will also be present in Holton at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office to assist with any calls coming in at that location from Pottawatomie County.
