Manhattan High’s Savannah Roberts is the latest Indian to sign to play college basketball. She signed today with the University of Central Missouri.
Roberts averaged six points and five rebounds per game this season while helping lead the Indians back to a third state tournament appearance in the last four years. She also made the all-defensive team in the Centennial League.
Roberts’ cousin played at Central Missouri and helped get her connected with the coaching staff. Her plan is to redshirt during her first season.
Roberts joins Caroline Ballard as a college basketball signee from the 2014-15 MHS girls basketball team. Ballard will play next season at Washington University in St. Louis.
