A Manhattan chiropractor was arrested Monday on a Riley County warrant in relation to alleged sex crimes.

Clark Petersen is charged with 16 counts of sexual battery and one count each of rape, aggravated sexual battery and lewd and lascivious behavior. All told, five women allege the incidents occurred at his Manhattan chiropractic office between 2018 and 2022. The victims range in age between 37 and 59.

Petersen remains jailed on a $300,000 bond.

Petersen was also arrested in late June and charged with a single count of rape after a 49-year-old woman alleged an incident from July 2022.

An investigation remains ongoing. RCPD says anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Jessie Ehrlich at (785) 473-2397.

A search of the Kansas Board of Healing Arts website shows his license remains active.
