Manhattan High girls track and field took home a league championship at last week’s Centennial League meet. Finishing the day with four first place wins was junior sprinter Harli Omli.
Omli won gold medals in the 100-meter, 200-meter, 400-meter and 4×100-meter relay. Her time of 24.07 seconds in the 200 broke the 24-year-old school record and 17-year-old Centennial League record. Omli owns multiple records at MHS. Earlier this year, she helped break the school record in the 4×100 with a time of 48.05. Last season, Omli broke the 400-meter record at regionals and then won at state in that event a week later. She also excels in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA and is undecided on future plans.
Congratulations to Harli Omli of Manhattan High School, the K-State Credit Union & Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center/KMAN “Student-Athlete of the Week!”
