Rock Creek softball is off to a 13-3 start after recent wins over Wamego, Marysville and Newton. Crushing at the plate right now for the Mustangs is sophomore shortstop Hailey Lies.
In the last five games, Lies has six home runs, two doubles, 17 RBI and 14 runs scored. That includes a grand slam against Newton. Lies currently sits tied for the Rock Creek home run record with eight. She is batting .517 on the season and is hitting .542 with runners in scoring position. Lies also plays for the Rock Creek volleyball and basketball teams. Plus, excels in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA.
