The Wamego City Commission was introduced to the new Library Director.
At Tuesday’s meeting, City Manager Merl Page introduced Bryan McBride, the new Wamego Public Library Director, who took over on January 19th, replacing former director Peter Vopata.
In other business:
The Commission approved the logistics of this year’s Tulip Festival, which Page said is identical to last year’s plan.
The plan includes street blocking around the City Park which requires approval from the City.
The Commission approved the request from PTO’s Jessica Lane to block off Elm Street from 7th to 8th for Central Elementary’s Spring Festival on April 22nd.
The streets will be blocked from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for activities in the street.
