JUNCTION CITY, Kan. – Following an apartment fire, residents of Junction City are receiving aid from the American Red Cross.
Tenants of The Bluffs apartments at 1810 Caroline Avenue in Junction City required assistance after a fire that affected 40 units and displaced dozens of residents, broke out Tuesday morning.
The Red Cross says those in need are receiving “food, clothing, shelter, comfort and care.”
A team of 14 volunteers from Topeka, Junction City, Fort Riley and Salina are arranging client casework to those residents impacted by the fire.
There are reports of an apartment fire in Junction City.
An official with the Junction City Fire Department told KMAN Tuesday an apartment complex near U.S. Highway 77 and I-70 is on fire and keeping crews busy.
Nobody is inside the complex, which has at least 24 units, a JCFD official said.
