KMAN has learned from Fort Riley that a soldier died from a gunshot wound in his residence on post at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday.
The name of the soldier is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin, according to a press release from Fort Riley.
No other individuals were injured and the incident is currently under investigation.
