(8:20 p.m.) Update:
An accident in Geary county Tuesday morning claimed the life of one Kansas woman and sent a Kansas man to the hospital.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2002 Chevy Impala was travelling eastbound on 12th street when it failed to yield at a stop sign and hit a 2003 Toyota Tacoma on the driver’s side.
The driver of the Impala, identified as Gina Wetz (31) of Milford, lost her life.
The driver of the Tacoma, whose information is being withheld until notification of family, was transported to Geary County Hospital.

Traffic is being rerouted near the entrance to Milford in Geary County, after a fatal accident this morning.
Geary County Emergency Management Coordinator, Garry Berges tells KMAN that the accident occurred around 7:15 a.m.
Berges says that traffic is currently being rerouted from 12th street to Houston street and back out both directions.
The Highway Patrol Accident Reconstruction team is on the scene and Berges says that he expects traffic to resume a normal flow within 3-4 hours.
