Update Friday morning:
Fire which destroyed two campers in Emmett was incendiary in nature. That’s according to Pottawatomie County Fire Supervisor Jared Barnes, who visited with State Fire Marshal officials early Friday. Barnes added persons of interest are being interviewed in connection with the case. No arrests have been made at this time.
Damage is estimated at $1,000 to the Winnebago type camper on a chassis and camper trailer destroyed in the Wednesday night fire.

Fire destroyed a couple of camper trailers in Emmett Wednesday night. Pottawatomie County Undersheriff Shane Jager tells KMAN the call came in shortly before nine p.m. regarding the fire in the 100 block of West Sixth in Emmett. Emmett, Havensville, and St. Mary’s firefighters responded.
No dollar estimate or possible cause has been released, although the State Fire Marshall’s office has been called in to assist with the investigation. Fire Supervisor Jared Barnes was meeting with the state officials at the scene Thursday.
