At approximately 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Patrol units from the Junction City Police Department and
EMS from the Junction City Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of Washington and 18th
streets in reference to an injury accident involving a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2012
Toyota Camry.
The operator of the motorcycle, identified as Benjamin Locke, a 40 year old solider from Ft. Riley was
transported from the scene to the Geary Community Hospital, where upon arrival he was declared
deceased from his injuries. An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday afternoon. The driver of the 2012
Toyota Camry was not injured in the accident.
This incident is still under investigation at this time.
