The Junction City Police Department is investigating the death of an unidentified female Sunday afternoon. At about 3:11 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the Super 8 hotel at 1133 South Washington Street, room 217 to check the welfare of the occupant. Upon the arrival of the responding officers a 36-year old woman was located in the room.
It is believed the death was not criminal in nature but a complete investigation is being conducted. An autopsy is scheduled for today.
