(8:20 p.m.) Update:

The Kansas Highway Patrol responded to an injury accident on K18 shortly before 4:30 Tuesday afternoon.

According to the KHP, a 2009 Suzuki Equator, driven by Isis Mueller (38) of Herrington was traveling eastbound on K18 when it left the roadway near milepost 185. The vehicle over corrected and went back into the south ditch where it rolled several times, eventually ejecting the driver.

Mueller and her 8-year-old passenger, were injured in the accident and transported to Via Christi Hospital.

A rollover accident backed up northbound traffic on K-18 just north of the Manhattan Regional Airport early Tuesday evening.

Riley County EMS Director Larry Couchman told KMAN at the scene that one victim was transported via ambulance in stable condition while another was taken in a helicopter to Topeka in critical condition.

Early reports indicated one of the victims may have been ejected from the vehicle.

KMAN will provide more information as soon as it’s available.
