For the 2nd year in a row, a study by SmartAsset found that K-State offers the best value in higher education in the state of Kansas.
It also found that the average starting salary is higher for K-State grads than other state institutions.
SmartAsset, a financial data and technology company, assessed the costs of tuition and living costs, comparing them to the average amount of grants and scholarships and the starting salary upon graduation, while also factoring in the retention rate.
The study found that the average starting salary of $47,900 and 83 percent retention rate are the best in Kansas.
The results of the study come on the heels of the news that the K-State’s current freshman class owns a composite ACT score of 25.1, the highest in school history.
In addition to K-State, the study also measured data at KU, Wichita State, Emporia State, Pittsburg State, Fort Hays State, Washburn, Baker, Southwestern College, and Friends University.
