Officers with the Riley County Police Department filed a report for theft in the 5500 block of Skyway Drive in Manhattan after a Hertz Rental vehicle was not returned by a customer. This 2015 Chevy Traverse, valued at approximately $29,000, was rented in October of this year and hadn’t been returned. It was recovered Wednesday after police had been contacted. At the time of this report no arrests had been made and no citations issued. This crime continues to be under investigation.
Officers arrested Jayne Edmonds, 33, of Junction City, on an out-of-jurisdiction warrant from Bay County, Fla., while she was at the Riley County Jail on Wednesday at approximately 7:15 p.m. This warrant carried “no bond.” At the time of this report Edmonds was confined at the Riley County Jail.
Allan Ruboyianes, 30, of Manhattan, was arrested while in the 200 block of Sarber Lane on Wednesday at approximately 11:40 p.m. Ruboyianes was arrested for the offense of driving while license is suspended, cancelled, or revoked and fleeing or attempting to elude. This arrest stemmed from traffic violation which led officers on a short vehicle pursuit of several blocks at speeds of approximately 30 mph. At the time of the vehicle coming to a stop, the driver who officers identified as Ruboyianes, fled on foot and was apprehended a short distance later. He was given a bond of $1,500 and at the time of this report was no longer confined at the Riley County Jail.
