RCPD Report 4/6/16

RCPDReportOfficers with the Riley County Police Department filed a report and are now investigating the offense of rape and aggravated indecent liberties with a child victim who is listed as being 4 years of age (female). These crimes occurred in the city limits of Manhattan in January of this year and involved a suspect who is known to the victim (male in his 20s). Due to the nature of this investigation no further information has been released at the time of this report.


 

Devin Musik, 16, of Manhattan was arrested while in the 600 block of Juliette Street on the offenses of aggravated robbery and possession of marijuana. He was given “no bond” at the time of his arrest. This arrest is an additional arrest made in a robbery investigation that law enforcement first mentioned occurring in the 900 block of Kearney Street on March 27, 2016.


 

Police arrested James Sitterle, 35, of Junction City, Kansas while at the Riley County Police Department on April 5, 2016 at approximately 8:45 PM. Sitterle was arrested on the offense of failure to appear which was listed on a warrant for the original offense of possession of a hallucinogenic drug. He was given a bond of $10,000.00 and at the time of this report was confined at the Riley County Jail.


 

The Riley County Police Department filed a report for the offenses of aggravated robbery and theft by deception after a report of an incident in the 2000 block of Shirley Lane on April 5, 2016 at approximately 1:00 PM. Officers filed the report later that day after finding that Randall Thomas, 20, (aggravated robbery victim) and Blake Nedich, 19, (theft by deception victim) both of Manhattan had become victims of approximately $4,600.00 worth of taken items. These items include a 1911 .45 caliber handgun, US currency, an SUV, and an additional handgun. Police are investigating a suspect in this case who is known to one of the victims. No arrests have been made at the time of this report.
