The Public Affairs office at Ft. Riley issued a press release early Saturday regarding the death of an unidentified teenager on post. According to the release, a teenage family member died of an apparent gunshot wound around 7:30 FRiday evening The release went on to say that this was an isolated incident and that there was no active shooter.
Fort Riley leaders are providing support to the affected families.
The incident is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division of the United States Army.
