An Ogden man was sentenced to more than two years in connection with a residential burglary in Pottawatomie County. David Huffman, 35, was sentenced Thursday in Pottawatomie County District Court to 27 months, with the sentence to run consecutive to a Riley County sentence he’s already serving time on.
Huffman was arrested last May on the Pottawatomie County warrant, which originally listed several theft and burglary charges. He entered a guilty plea in January to residential burglary and making false information.
The Kansas Department of Corrections lists Huffman’s Riley County 2014 case as involving possession of opiates or narcotic drugs. An earlier Riley County Police report listed a no bond probation violation warrant on Huffman as having an original charge of methamphetamine possession.His earliest possible release date on that charge is listed on the KDOC site as October 23rd of this year.
