Water main breaks are continuing to impact travel throughout Manhattan. Yesterday, traffic was closed on Kimball Avenue between College and Browning. On May 7, a water main break on Anderson Avenue closed traffic between 16th and 17th street briefly. Traffic was reduced to one lane for a few days while crews repaired the break.
According to Rob Ott, Public Works Director, the water main on Anderson avenue was installed in 1914. Ott plans to respond to KMAN’s inquiries in depth next week.
Tweets from the @CityofMHK indicate the situation on Kimball has been resolved for now.
