By KMAN Staff on June 28, 2011 Local News

Firework sales will begin Friday, July 1st at 12:00 p.m. and continue until July 4th at midnight.

Manhattan Fire Marshall, Ryan Almes says that fireworks cannot be discharged on city streets and throwing fireworks at people or vehicles is prohibited. Almes also reminded us that bottle rockets are illegal in Kansas.

The City of Manhattan will be hosting a public fireworks display at Cico Park on July Fourth. Admission is free.
