A team from Charlie Company 701st Support Battalion has won the Top Medical Team Competition for Western Regional Command and Fort Riley.  The competition was held in the sweltering heat from the 17th to the 21st of July.

Sergeant Andre Proctor, Sergeant Justin Taylor, Specialist Kyle Murrah, and Private First Class Kyle Brinkman beat 40 other soldiers that were competing for the honor.

Teams came from all over the Western command, and included soldiers from California and as far away as Alaska tackling technical and tactical scenarios based on real life situations.

Charlie company’s 1st Sergeant Starns told KMAN he was confident of their ability to succeed.  Click for audio..   1st Sergeant Starns

Specialist Kyle Murrah  gives us an example of that kind of training.  Click for audio.. Specialist Kyle Murrah.

That mission oriented training produced results as the soldiers from Charlie Company 701st Support Battalion can proudly proclaim themselves the “Top Medics” of the Western Regional command.
