Riley County police are confirming a tip on the possible sighting of the Kansas City baby missing that’s made national news, but indicate they have no idea if there’s any validity to it or not.
Someone at McAlister’s Deli in Manhattan reported seeing two women with a baby matching the description of baby Lisa Irwin… then leaving the restaurant to get into a small black vehicle with Missouri tags.
But Riley County police indicate they didn’t find such a vehicle.
RCPD Captain Kurt Moldrup tells KMAN they get tips like that all the time, but take them seriously. He says they notified neighboring law enforcement agencies with the very limited description. But he stresses such tips are not that unusual.
