Riley County police are investigating a shooting in Manhattan, which resulted in the hospitalization of one man and arrest of another.

Marcus Cooper was found shot close to the intersection of North Manhattan Avenue and Flint Hills Place, and taken to Mercy Regional Health Center, where he was expected to survive.

Tyrell Brown of Flint Hills Place was arrested on two counts of attempted second degree murder.

The call to police came from Clayton Burgess, who was also found to be a victim in the case. Burgess reportedly called 9-1-1 at about 12:30 Sunday afternoon, reporting a man had been shot in the North Manhattan Avenue Flint Hills Place vicinity.
