On Thursday Riley County Police detained an Eisenhower Middle School student for alleged aggravated child endangerment.
On Wednesday, Riley County EMS responded to the Eisenhower Middle School on a report of a student suffering from medical problems. The student was transported to Mercy Regional Health Center.
School officials say they discovered the ill student may have been given perscription medication by another. On Thursday they contacted the RCPD with the information, and after investigation, Toby Ritchie Jr. was detained for aggravated endangerment of a child.
Ritchie was released to his parents.
