    K-State baseball falls to Nebraska

By KMAN Staff on March 7, 2012 K-State Sports

In a Big 12/Big 10 matchup, Nebraska takes the first ever non-conference meeting from K-State, 9-6 on Tuesday afternoon at Hawks Field in Lincoln.  The Cats grabbed an early 2-0 lead, but the Huskers would score 9 of the next 10 runs.  K-State scored three runs in the bottom of the 8th, and had the bases loaded with two outs.  Mike Kindel hit a hard line drive, but it was snared by Nebraska shortstop Chad Christensen to end the threat.

K-State baseball will next take the field on Friday for the start of a four-game series with Hartford at Tointon Family Stadium.  First pitch will be at 3:00pm and pregame begins at 2:30 on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.
