The Flint Hills are a captivating and historical part of Kansas. Now, the beauty of the Flint Hills can be explored further at the Flint Hills Discovery Center. KMAN witnessed the opening ceremony as many speakers and performances took place.
The grand opening featured speakers including Governor Sam Brownback and Mayor Jim Sherow, musical performances and a ribbon cutting.
The center features over 10,000 square feet of different learning experiences such as an immersive multimedia experience, exhibits, classrooms, gardens and a gift shop.
