Jon Davis connected for three hits as K-State beat Northern Colorado for the second straight day, 7-5 to take the two-game midweek series.  Freshman Austin Fisher added a pair of hits, and Jared King knocked in three runs.  The Cats jumped out to an early 3-1, and broke a tie with a four-run fourth inning keyed by two-RBI base hits from Ross Kivett and King.  Depsite giving up two runs, Johnny Fasola (1-1) picked up his first win.  Freshmen Robert Youngdahl, Matt Wivivis and Nate Williams closed out the game for the Wildcats over the final 3 2/3 innings, giving up no runs.  Williams earned his fifth save.

K-State improves to 19-18 on the season, and will travel this weekend to Missouri for the teams’ final Big 12 series.  First pitch on Friday night is at 6:00pm in Columbia, and the BD4 Distrubuting Pregame Show begins at 5:30 on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.
