    Riley County Police Search for Aggravated Robbery Suspect

    RCPD caution Steven Lawrence is considered Armed and Dangerous

    Riley County Police have arrested two suspects in relation to the April 22nd aggravated robbery at Anderson Avenue Wendy’s restaurant, and are looking for the third suspect.

    Police are looking for 20-year-old Steven Bryson Lawrence (pictured below).  RCPD is cautioning the public that Steven Lawrence is considered armed and dangerous.

    Steven Bryson Lawrence is describes as being 5’7” and  150lbs.

     The investigation also revealed that a third person, Gilbert Blizzard, later picked up Steven and took Steven to an unknown location.

    23- year-old Richard Lawrence II was arrested for aggravated Robbery, flee and elude, obstruction, and reckless driving.  Lawrence is being held on a $55,000 bond.

    Riley county police also arrested 28-year-old Gilbert Blizzard for obstruction of justice.  Blizzard was released on $3,000 dollar bond.

    The incident was described in a report released by the Riley County police.

    On April 22, 2012 at approximately 11:35 pm an aggravated robbery occurred at 3006 Anderson Ave. (Wendy’s Restaurant).  The suspect entered the restaurant wearing dark clothing and a mask while armed with a handgun.  The suspect took an undisclosed amount of currency and fled north from Wendy’s.  A call to 911 was placed immediately by the victims at the restaurant and RCPD officers immediately responded to the area.

     

    An SUV was observed by an RCPD officer leaving the area just to the North of Wendy’s.  The officer tried to flag down the vehicle to stop but the driver refused and a police pursuit ensued.  During the vehicle pursuit a passenger exited the vehicle and fled on foot.  Officers continued the pursuit of the vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle eventually stopped and tried to flee on foot but was apprehended by officers.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as Richard McKinsey Lawrence II.

    Through further investigation the passenger who fled on foot from the suspect vehicle was identified as Steven Bryson Lawrence, brother of Richard.
