MANHATTAN, Kan. – Bruce Weber landed his second 2012 recruit Thursday as Michael Orris announced his intention to play at Kansas State next season.

A three-star prospect according to Rivals.com, Orris averaged 10.2 points and 6.2 assists this past season as a senior at Crete (Ill.) Monee, helping lead the Warriors to a 25-4 record and the school’s first-ever sectional championship.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Orris describes himself as an “old-fashioned” point guard saying “I’m a pass first point guard. I like to get everyone involved. I like to pass first and be a leader. I want to put my teammates in the best position to be successful.”

Orris plans to be on K-State’s campus this summer and take intersession courses before the start of the fall semester.
