Jerry Moran is Headed to the Little Apple

    Sen. Jerry Moran (R-Kan.)

U.S. Senator Jerry Moran and his wife, Robba, are on the move.  Moran has officially announced they will be moving from their hometown of Hays,  to Manhattan.

There were a number of reasons surrounding the move. Their daughter will be attending Kansas State University in the fall to study veterinary medicine and in an effort to spend more time with her and support her education, the family decided moving to Manhattan would be the best way to do that.  Moran also makes frequent trips from Hays to Kansas City’s airport.  The convenience of the airport in Manhattan was a plus in the decision making process.  Besides Moran’s efforts to spend less time on the road and more time with his family, his wife wanted to do the same.  Her efforts with the Board of Regents in Topeka have her on the road a lot as well.  The move will cut that drive down significantly for her.

The family is currently in the process of selling their home in Hays.  Although they are sad to depart with their hometown, they are looking forward to becoming residents of Manhattan.
