    Police Blotter June 25, 2012

    1) A 22 year-old victim received facial injuries and broken nose after a dispute with his 21 year-old girlfriend at their residence in Manhattan No arrests were made for the incident.

    2) The Riley County Police department reported Monday that Vanessa Thomas came back on Sunday to find her ethernet card, 32 inch Samsung TV, a Toshiba laptop, 50 DVDs, Toshiba Blu Ray player, and a laptop charger all missing from her residence in the 900 block of Humbolt. Total loss was estimated around $2100.

    3) Erin Downs reported to the Riley County Police Department Friday that and unknown suspect made entry to her apartment in the 6000 block of Tuttle Terrace and took a kitchenaid mixer, a 32 inch flatscreen TV, and a jewelry box holding miscellaneous jewelry. Also, the back door was damaged. Total loss is estimated to be around $2100.

    4)Two men got charged this weekend for battery of a law enforcement officer in Aggieville. The first happened on Saturday around 2 a.m. Haider Mehr, 22, punched a law enforcement officer in the stomach when the officer was trying to break up an altercation. The next incident occurred on Sunday around 1 a.m.  Richard Rice, 27, was being taken down to the Aggieville substation when he started resisting officers and kicking them. Two officers were battered but none of the sustained any major injuries. Rice and Mehr were both charged with disorderly conduct and battery to a law enforcement officer.
