    Riley County Police Blotter June 18th, 2012

    1.)  A series of aggravated burglaries in the Eugenie Field area are causing eyebrows to raise both at the Riley County Police Department and for local residents. The string of incidents started Thursday between the hours of 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.  Sheila, 76, and  Joseph Mills, 78, reported to the RCPD that their screen window had been slashed at 1723 Fairview Ave. Nothing was missing from the home. On Friday another aggravated burglary was reported, this time at 1730 Fairview Rd. around 2 a.m.  Artyce Hendrick, 65, reported to the RCPD that $50 was missing from the home. Then around 4 p.m., the RCPD had another call for an aggravated burglary this time around the 1800 of Laramie.  Nicholas Ward, 22, reported that a man came into the residence and $50 was missing. The victim chased the suspect out of the home.There have been no arrest made in this string of burglaries and criminal damage to property.

    2.) Two reports of rape were made to the Riley County Police Department on Friday. The first was a 31-year-old female who reported that she was raped on the northwest side of Manhattan after a house party.The victim did not know the suspects and no arrests were made. Another female victim reported an incident of rape and sodomy after a separate house party located in Manhattan. The victim and suspects were acquaintances. The investigation is still ongoing. The victim was 22-years-old.

    3.) An injury accident occurred on Fort Riley Boulevard. Friday causing both a trailer and truck to flip over. The driver, Sal Tucker, 47, was transported, treated and released from Mercy Regional Health Center for shoulder and torso pain. Alcohol is believed to be a factor.

    4.) A domestic battery between a husband and wife in the 1100 block of Kearney St. caused a man to be stabbed. The man was treated for his wounds but none were life threatening. No arrests were made.

    5.) Victor Ayodada, 20, was cited for soliciting without a permit. Ayodada was selling Kirby Vacuum Cleaners in the 300 block of Brookemonte Dr. Ayodada was listed with a local address and was cited and released.
