Riley County Police are reporting an unattended death occurred in Manhattan on Thursday.

According to police 26-year-old Blake Birnbaum was found in his apartment at 1420 Cambridge Place after a welfare check was requested by a member of Birnbaum’s famiily.  Police say the death was not found to be suspicious, and foul play is not suspected.

An autopsy has been requested by authorities for cause of death.
